Basic Make-up (essential skills) Diploma Course - £95

Who is the course suitable for?
This course is ideal for beginners who wish to start work as make-up artists plus therapists who wish to add this important skill to their repertoire. It is also perfect for individuals who would like to know what products to use and how to apply them for maximum effect.

What does the course include?
This half day course starts with advice on cleansing, toning and moisturising so you are confident in the basics, and then looks in more detail at products and their application. Our make-up course teaches you about the products, identifying face shapes, eye shapes and skin types. How to apply the products using brushes, finger tips and sponges is also covered. Our make-up course teaches you techniques to work in the beauty industry as well as for personal use. This course also covers the client consultation process, aftercare and product selection, plus information on insurance, data protection and the relevant anatomy.

How long are the treatments and how much can I charge?
Make up application can be priced from £20-£80 depending on the occasion and the type of look required – bridal and special occasion make up taking from 1-2 hours. Prices will of course depend on the area you practice.

Do I need to purchase anything in advance and what equipment do I need to practice?
All the items you use on the course will be provided for you. Details of the products and equipment you need to practice will be covered in detail on the course.

What are the benefits to my clients?
The course includes all the basic skills in the application of a personalised make-up. It is useful for the client who needs an image make-over, or has no idea what suits her and is tired of making expensive mistakes!

Bridal & Special Occasion Make-up (advanced skills) Diploma Course - £125

Who is the course suitable for?
This course is suitable for students who have attended a Basic Make-up course or who are qualified therapists who have had experience in make-up application. It is ideal for those who wish to add this important skill to their existing make-up repertoire and to specialise in the lucrative and rewarding field of bridal make-up.

What does the course include?
This half day course starts with advice on choice of products, and then looks in more detail at products and their application. This make-up course teaches you the skills required to apply bridal make-up. How to apply the products using brushes, finger tips and sponges is also covered.

How long are the treatments and how much can I charge?
Make up application for weddings is normally priced to include a rehearsal as well as providing the make-up on the day - it can vary between £60 and £100 depending on your area. Often Bridal make-up artists will be asked to quote for making up the bridesmaids and also mothers of the bride and groom which can add considerably to the price being charged.  Prices will of course depend on the area you practice.

Do I need to purchase anything in advance and what equipment do I need to practice?
All the items you use on the course will be provided for you but it is suggested that you bring your own make-up kit with which you are familiar.

What are the benefits to my clients?
The course includes skills required for special occasion  make-up and tips on how to keep make-up fresh for the entire occasion!
